hi @jstory07, i'm copying your idea, i hope you don't mind. Today's topic is android phones/smartphones. I am planning on buying one for my parent, but i don't know which brand to buy. I am budget conscious and so far my top picks are Oppo and Asus - Asus zenfone max to be specific... What do you say?

I do not use a smartphone, I have a tablet and it's Android, it's good.

@lady1993 NO, for calling I use my landline phone when I am at home, I try not to make calls when I am outside, but if needed I have an old cell phone that is great for this purpose.

I would suggest an asus phone. My mother bought an oppo phone with the same price range as of my asus and now she is complaining of some lag issues. But still it will boil down to what are the interest of your parent? Like what does he usually do on his phone.
