It is common for people to eat some nuts like peanuts, walnut and so on. I wonder whether you eat sunflower seeds? Here sunflower seeds can be a kind of snack and girls especially like eating them. I don't often eat them because it spends longer time, but in fact I like eating them.

Yes, I like sunflower seeds. i like sunflower sprouts too. That means you plant the sunflower seeds, and then you harvest after the growth of the 2 leaves. They are very tasty when you add to the soup.

@youless I guess you have tried to plant sunflower seeds before! Try it. Just plant and then harvest the sprout.

I do but already shelled. I must not keep eating them though they are very delicious. I usually put them in salads.

I can see Asians like to eat sunflower seeds directly, but westerns like to put them on the salad. We have some different habits.

@gudheart I think coffee goes well with a lot of nuts and seeds, including almonds, cashew and sunflower seeds.

I think sunflower seeds go well with coffee! I rather have dried fruits in cereal or milk in cereal or even both.

I'm allergic to them. I tried them once and my mouth burned and my throat started to swell. Now whenever my mouth starts to burn I can tell there's sunflower seeds in the mix.

@youless People can be allergic to all kinds of things. I can't eat lamb for the same reason, in a lesser sense. My mouth starts to tingle and it becomes harder to swallow.

Yes, we eat them, it's said to be quite nutritious. I wanted to plant some sunflowers to get the seeds to eat, but I have not successfully grow a sunflower yet, though it's supposed to be easy to grow. We eat pumpkin seeds as well. Sometimes I just fry the seeds from the pumpkin we bought without using oil, and my children like them as well.

@youless Yes, it's also very excited to see the whole progress of the plant growing up, from the seed, till the flower, and the fruits, perhaps.
