Whom you would have to listen. I was conversing with my wife in her home , we exchanged some ideas about how do we need to look at our future. From there I headed to my home & that was where Myself & my mom indulged in a conversation over the same topic. Things looked a lot different but yet felt whatever my mom told was reasonable. Its pretty amazing how mind can take read things. It has started to accept whatever it had been told even though one suggestion might have been entirely contrary to the other.

Sounds like you and your wife don't live together, your wife and mother have opposing views is what it sounds like so you need to make up your mind that you have an opinion of your own and go by that.

Its difficult at times to go by what we hear. The more opinions the more will be problem to select which one is good. One good thing is go by our instincts!

That's what is odd. He's married, yet lives apart? That alone may be the problem.

@Cintronwriter Definitely a big problem I would say. Why be married if you want to stay with your mother? There is a conflict as I see it.

I see you're married, correct? If that is the case, I think the decision is between you and your wife. It's ok to bounce ideas off your mother, but I would tread lightly when it comes to choosing your mom's ideas over your wife's. There may also be a cultural difference between your country and mine, but when you leave your parents and marry your love, generally, decisions are made among the couple.

This was not a problem & my wife do not live separately either, she was just in her home for a few days. I was puzzled how our mind can interpret two different things in the same way.

@everloving I see. I guess when you stated she is in her home, I assumed she lived apart from you. My bad.

We all see things from our own perspective but of course since you are married, what your wife thinks should be the most important.
