What's broken will eventually be fixed (hopefully).

My air conditioner has been broken since Friday. It is supposed to be fixed tomorrow morning. Some, who are dealing with snow are thinking, you need air conditioning right now?! It got close to 90 degrees (F), and with our heat comes humidity. I do terribly in heat. I can't open a window because they haven't been fixed. It got broken by an inspector, who bless her heart, didn't know how to open the window and ended up breaking it. I have a box fan. It's been terrible for my eyes, but it keeps me from overheating (as long as I stay in front of it. What's the worst think you've found broken just when you really needed it?

90 degrees sounds horrendous to me, so I hope your AC gets fixed soon.

They fixed it this afternoon. It was cool today, so that was good. This morning I went into my kitchen and a jar of my coconut oil was liquid. I couldn't believe it got so hot it melted.

@LadyDuck Yet it never melted in all my time in this apartment, spring or summer.

@AmbiePam The coconut oil melts at 76 F (24 Celsius), you do not need a very hot temperature to melt it.

The DVD player I just wrote about! lol I love watching movies and since my computer does not have a DVD player, it would be so nice if my DVD player would just work. But your problem is a lot worse than mine. I hope you get cooled off very soon!

@AmbiePam Thanks. I guess we all have something in life that could work a bit better. At least, we can meet up here and cheer one another on. :)

Staying in tropical countries , have given the patience to deal with heat and humidity, I still do not own a ac , I can at least my doors and windows open. I stay on the 9th Floor and so you can expect a good conditioning naturally, Here the temperature goes to 45-50 degree Celsius. Last year the temperature was around 55 degree Celsius in one of our state and reported deaths was near 200.

There are a lot of people tougher than I, including you! I should be grateful because in the summer it gets past 100 degrees, and the humidity is stifling. So I should be grateful it broke now and not in the summer.

My washing machine or clothes dryer are on the top of that list. Next would be the furnace or AC. In the winter you really need that furnace to keep warm. In the hot and humid weather I need the AC. Many of my clients do not have AC and I suffer terribly having to clean in such horrible humid weather.

That is very hot and although we are freezing up here, I can understand why you would want to have your unit repaired. I'm trying to think, but I cannot recall anything breaking down lately, except for last fall, the dishwasher was acting up. We called a repairman and he got that working again because I didn't want to revert back to hand washing the dishes.

Our worst was a few years ago our furnace thought it would be funny to break when it was -15F. We have had this break before (this year we are replacing it), but it has always been at degrees in the 30F range, which is bad, but not awful.

It was 93.2 degrees here yesterday. I don't have an AC in the apartment. I only have fan. When I thought my fan isn't working, I was about to box it to dispose, when I realize I can change one part, it worked after replacing one part.
