I want to know how many hours people sleep. Myself need like 8 hours to wake up relaxed the next day. I know some people who need only between 4-6 hours of sleep. Please let me know because I started to feel that I am different lol !

Since I have become a mature lady (hehe) almost 66, my sleep is so mixed up, some nights cannot sleep at all, others I sleep 8 to 10 hrs. My hubby is the same way, he did not sleep at all last night!

@sbakhour guess so. Hehe I wonder sometimes if it isn't some of those darn medications I have to take! It doesn't help you have to go to the bathroom several times or more during the night!

I used to definitely need my 8 but now I am finding that I am awake and alive after 6.5 hours. Sometimes its more tiring if you get too much sleep!

@scubapro even if you sleep 7 hours on a daily basis for a week , do you feel that the hours get accumulated then at one day you sleep more ?

5-7. Normally 7 is the best for me to be totally rested, but 6 is fine. I woke up today after 6 hours. Although it was 4 in the morning, so I stayed in bed.

@sbakhour There's getting enough sleep and sleeping too much. If you sleep too long you will actually feel tired. It's odd how that works.

I goal is always eight, but I usually end up with seven. When I go to bed a little earlier in an attempt to get more sleep, I wake up an hour before the alarm (like today.)

But why you wake up earlier ? It seems like your body needs no sleep then

I normally sleep 6-7 hours a day and I think it's sufficient to give rest to body and for mind.

@sbakhour,I have become used to sleeping for only 5-6 hours, because I have to go for my workplace.I have been a late sleeper for more than 10 years. Can't sleep early at night.Sleep remains elusive.

Lately, I've been having less than 5 hours of sleep and I feel dizzy everyday. But on weekends, I sleep longer than 8 hours.
