I Love Wednesday, Do You?

The middle of the week is upon us, and as my mind tips the proverbial teeter totter of days in the week toward the weekend, I'm filled with joy to know this day is the day I see my kids. Hump day it is so they say, where our sight is set on the relaxing days of non-work, and long nights. Ah Wednesday, the day that cuts the week in half, giving me strength to welcome much needed rest from this grueling commute of mine. Tell me, does Wednesday doing anything for you in terms of helping you see the light at the end of the tunnel in a life filled with work?

Being forceably retired, one day is the same as the next. When I worked, getting over the hump was good.

@Cintronwriter I am not so lucky as I was "forced" into retirement. Be grateful to have a job and steady paycheck.

Ah lucky. I dream of retiring now and I have some 35 years to go in society's eyes.

It's the Mondays that I feel more relaxed and the day that I look forward to. Wednesday means Friday is getting near and Friday means, it'll be Saturday and that I have to work on something that I have no interest in.

Monday really? I loathe Mondays. It's like reliving my worst nightmare, lol.

@Cintronwriter I know, most people do. But it's just totally different for me. I have total control of my weekdays but not my weekends.

I have the ability to panic on most days, but Wednesday is usually mistaken for Tuesday or Thursday, bringing relief or stress when it has been correctly identified as Wednesday.

I enjoy every day as each day as its joys. Over the weekend I met someone who has the same last name and his first name was Jose. Any relation?

You did? I'm not sure. I ask that question too, and I'm sure we may be related down the line. What part of the country are you in?

I work on the weekends too so Wednesday doesn't mean much to me, except that we have Church tonight! That is the thing that excites me about this day. =)

Got it. Getting filled up with the spirit is a good thing. I can't imagine working weekends. Last time I worked on the weekend was as a teenager. I think it would be difficult to acclimate myself to working weekends now. Beats graveyard though right?

So you're retired now? You share my view of Wednesday because the light at the end of tunnel so to speak, begins to shine right?

I don't really love it as it is normal working day for me. I do love Thursday nights and Fridays as I am off work Fridays :D

You see Friday is pretty much the end of the week. The expectancy is gone for me because the weekend is here.
