Career women of today: How far will you go for career in the career vs family battle?

April 7, 2016 5:09am CST
Ever since you take the decision to settle down, life becomes a whole rigmarole of wes. While it is taken for granted that his career is his priority, what is also taken for granted is that he becomes my priority. When will this thinking end?

I guess I am confused.....There is a balance everyone has to find between their career and their children or families. I don't know why this has to be the woman in the relationship who puts a stall on her career to do this. I think it should be more equatable.

I would rather just be a plain housewife if I have a choice. Well, since I'm a single mom, I can basically do whatever I please for my career.

Start by making wiser decisions when it comes to who you settle with as a partner. As a career woman you can't go off and marry the type of man whose ideal wife is June Cleaver and expect it to work. You do have better choices. Leave those men for the more traditional women who won't mind that way of thinking.

I think it would be best to have a sit down talk with your husband and discuss the issue . Because I believe that an open communication can help dissolve a lot of conflicts and help prevent creating one.

Yes absolutely. This has to be stopped. Why are girls treated like they are meant to be looking after household stuff only?. Why can't they take a lead?
