When your upset or sad do you notice that your animals seem to come a litter closer to you, like they know your sad and they are trying to comfort you.
What do you guys think, do you think that animals can understand your pain and try to comfort you the best way they know how to?

I think that they can stablish a very close relation with their owners. Even closer than we humans can imagine. I had some dogs and a cat and I know what you mean. Thye perceive when you´re happy or sad. They will most likely see their owner happy and they will try to cheer you up using animal language.

@Castlerock34 Yes, they are like children. Sometimes, one has to educate them just like children. They were not born knowing everything, they need some guidance. Once, I had five dogs at a time and they all behave naughty, except the mother. There was a puppy who was stronger than the others and this puppy used to others grab the tails of the others and drag them around. I had to interven and talked to this puppy the same way you would talk to a naughty child.
The only remedy I found for its behavior was to be more playful with him. This would calm him down.

Is that you kitty? So lovely little soul.
Yes indeed they do.
Animals know all..much more than us in some ways. I believe they are a blessing to us.

I agree with that, he likes to lay on my chest and that makes me feel good.

That's a great shot of a cat doing what cats do best, snoozing!
