Do you own a pet?

My sister loves pets. Since she stays at a hostel right now, she never really has the chance to get one. For her previous birthday, a friend gifted her a beautiful and unusual fish. She even went to the extent of gifting the fish along with the fish tank.
I have never seen a fish like that before and upon inquiry, I found out that it was called a Siamese Fighter Half moon Fish. It did not look like a fighter to me in the first place!
My sister loves that fish and takes care of it so well. I'm happy to see that at last she has her own pet if only a little fish! She even says that having that fish nearby is relaxing and if she touches the glass outside and moves her hand along the glass, the fish follows her. It does not do it with anybody else! Its surprising how a little pet can make so much difference.
Do you have pets? Are pets really stress-busters?

@Scindhia My daughter comes here for the summer (she's due at the end of this month), so we don't really need to visit her there. Thailand is a bit hot for us. We spend a couple of months in Spain each year, and usually take a cruise somewhere as well. That's on top of taking breaks away in our own country.

Pets are great companion. They can be your best friends, especially dogs who tend to follow their owner wherever he/she goes.

@Scindhia Yes, I watched, ¨Eight below.¨ It kept amused, especially when the dogs were left on the Antarctic and managed to survive. I want to watch; ¨Hachi: A dog´s tale.¨ Dogs are very understanding and they are intuitive.

I do not my friend sadly.
I wish to own a pet like I used to.
But this place does not allow without paying high rent for the pet each month..so crazy.

I dont have any pets, its not that i dont like them, they are great but its a tedious task to take care of them. Hats off to those who take out time to do so.

Indeed an aquarium can really be stress busting . Just looking at the fishes and its lighted surroundings in the aquarium gives you that calm feeling .
We used to have one when we were still living in the old house of my in-laws' house that they vacated to reside in the house where we are living now with them in a subdivision.
My daughter also has a little turtle in a separate aquarium too.

So beautiful fish! I didn't know it could recognize its master. Yes, I have a pet dog and two African lovebirds. They're really stress-relievers!
