Yesterday I had a 2 hour deadline for a project. Everything was going just fine, I was almost done when The Windows 10 Program From Hell commandered my laptop for about an hour. Needless to say, I didn't make deadline, lost money and this new layout looks like crazy.com to me. My next project is due in 8 days, TG, so I have some time to figure it out. A young woman told me she hasn't been able to use her computer since W10 loaded itself. Oh well, Staples Support, here I come.

See above comment. Thanks, I pretty much understand 10 now. Basically it moved power, search, etc. to the left side of my screen.

@sherryericha Oh good, glad you are understanding it now. I'm grateful mine has not gone ahead and tried to install without asking me first....so far.

@sherryericha I wish I could understand it. It blows my mind.

I was saying "no", too. But other my mylotters had warned me it would eventually update without permission.

You are right. Now that I was forced to accept, it's really okay.

Hon, you could have emailed me and ask, you know. Just because I am not a Moderator on a site doesn't mean I let my computer skills get rusty, you know. LOL!
Yes, I can see this is an older post. I thought you might like to know I have written two tutorials on myLot that deal with stopping Win10 and the updates Microsoft has been uploading to computers that have not been upgraded to Win10. (I do hope someone told you that Microsoft decided to integrate a keylogger into computers running Win7, Win8 and Win8.1. It came in the form of a couple of updates on most people's computers.
Go read the tutorials. You'll see what I mean.
