Many people envy the looks and lavish lifestyles of celebrities but I think their lives are not easy.
I'll rather have my plain life than be a celebrity whose sneeze becomes a screaming headline in a sleazy tabloid. No wonder most of them start doing bizarre and weird things.
What do you think of this craze? Do you think it is fuelled by the interest of average people like us or does media make them a commodity to make money?

Not all celebrities have a hard life filled with paparazzos. Greta Garbo managed to stay private through out her whole career. There are many celebrities with squeeky clean reputation and never had a scandal.

I agree. I recently read a novel from a celebrity perspective and it made me realize how they're just as stressed as we are not counting the fact that they have to worry about appearances all the time. Something to think about.

Yes, I don't think they are easy at all. I am not sure, but they might be doing something they don't really want to do, and it's quite sad that they are always in focus, so they seem to have no privacy and freedom at all. I'd prefer to live a simple life.

Don't forget that at the beginning of their careers , the celebrities are just too happy to get all that attention from the paparazzi. It is only later that they complain that they have no "privacy".
I am certainly not envious of their lifestyle, I prefer my way a lot better.

Media surely tries to make a news out of it even if it just as plain as the celebrity cooking food..! I would agree to this that a celebrities like seldom is private as there always is somebody outside there door and window to get something out of them!

I think sometimes its the insane amount of money that makes them even more appealing. Money gives you power more than an average earning person. You can go where you want because you aren't lacking the money you have enough to be stable its something we all have thought about at one point or another.

I'm with you! I wouldn't want to be a celebrity. I've had the experience of being a semi-public figure on a small scale, so I know a good part of the craze is just people's curiosity. But it's fed by the media, and their constant search for a bigger scoop or a better headline....
