Is everyone you have friend on Facebook really a friend? I consider many of my Facebook friends just acquaintances, not really true friends. I came to realize this when, last night, one of these people posted a comment that I found offensive on one of my posts. When I called him out on it, he apologized and said he hoped it didn't ruin our friendship and talked about how he cares about me. Whoa, buddy! I hardly know you! You don't even speak to me beyond a hello - sometimes - when I see you face to face.
So, how friendly are you really with your Facebook friends?

Most of my fb friends are either family, or friends i've known for many years, either through school, online (myspace days), or friends I met via other friends. I do have a list of friends however, that I have added on fb for gaming purposes, but those friends are added to a list that is limited to what they see on my profile, such as pictures of my daughter and I also have my friends list private so that no one can go through my list and just randomly add my friends.

I have around 30 something facebook friends, nlcuding my brothers and sisters. I hardly speak to them. The one I maintain a regular communication with is my brother. None of my other friends give likes to my publications. They seem very busy posting other peopleĀ“s publications. And I hardly get to know them better.

Exactly ,some are acquaintances, some real friends ,others fun seekers and the rest opportunists, and that is the nature of the digital age.

Yes, i limit my FB friends to real friends only. That is why most of the time I ignore friend requests. Call it rude but I guess everybody should be careful in making friend request, when you hit the button just make sure you mean it and you will make an effort to know the person and you want to him or her to be your friend someday.

Most people on my FB are either friends I have had for years or babysitting clients-most of which I know really well. I don't have too many on my list that I don't know.

I have on my Facebook friend's list, some family members, old college friends, neighbors and online friends I met on other sites. I also have a few people on it who play Farmville like I do. I don't know them accept that they play the game.

That's great! I feel people are just for show on Facebook. I personally try to avoid it all together. I use it for games and a laugh. The people on my friends list are a mix of family, real life friends, and people I've come across over the years. I use messenger when necessary, but anything personal (i.e Birthday wishes, condolences, or congratulations) I get old school and call them.

I have 187 facebook friends, and yes, i know that's not much, but true friends, I think i have less than i have fingers =) I'm sure I know about 90% of my facebook "friends", and most of them i do get along well, some of them are old friends, some are just people I hang out with from time to time, I dare say them this 90% are all people that I say hello to when I see them, and even talk a bit to catch up. I don't really add people just to add to my friends number.
