What it is " To Have Succeeded"

To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882) American Essayist & Poet -- Several years ago, I made a pseudo artwork about this inspiring poem and is now hanging in my bed room wall. They are simple, straightforward, and yet deep, meaningful definition of success. Every now and then, I spent a few moments in front of this art piece and read each lines carefully, as of this is always my first time to see them. And I just caught my self doing a checklist for each criteria of success. So, far I can say that I am still far from it..but I am not sad..because I am still working on it...I hope one day, soon enough...checklist is completely done.... So, how about your own checklist?
