maybe you consider this strictly the couple's business. I'm really curious. the fact is that recently my brother signed the divorce papers from his wife. my parents obviously tried to convince him into not doing this. anyway in the end he did things his way

@swissheart,I would not call it 'interference.' Like your parents,others- friends and relatives- may or,perhaps, should try to advice the spouses not to take such extreme steps. It depends on the couple if they buy their advice.

yes indeed. the fact is that you can't adopt a passive attitude in such situations

@else34 many people get affected in such situations and it's even worse if kids get trapped in the middle

I don't think people should interfere. I think the only thing people should do is support. They can give suggestions but never try to stop anything. Some people are grow up enough to realize what they really need in life.

yes indeed but in such cases people don't act rational but instead they do it emotional

@swissheart Of course. i think people just need to calm down and let people live their life. no one really interfered with my mom's divorce or even marriage when they should have. Each person is different though.

I agree with @tomford. There are reasons why people decides on something which most people would sometimes disagree. It's their life. They know more about the situation they're experiencing. Advice is the only thing you can offer but the final decision is always up to them.

after all if we're resonable enough you can't make someone stay with a person he doesn't want to be with

its really not your business, you can give advice but everyone has to live his or her own life
