Windows Are Rattling

So the work on getting the new water lines from the north side of the river to the south side under the river has now been going on for a week. I can't really tell what the heck they are doing but they start at like 7 am and wake up the whole neighborhood. My 116 year old windows are rattling and driving me nuts. I have turned on the music here really loud as I am so tired of hearing my windows rattle. They are old so they are loose in the frames and rattle.
In this picture if you look at the left side of the picture you can see my red van and my barn behind it. Those machines they are using are about a foot from my property line and almost up against my barn. As well as the windows rattling my husband told me all the stuff on the shelves in the barn are rattling as well. I honestly didn't think this would bother me much but the rattling is making me crazy.
And yes we had a bit of snow yesterday as well.

They start way too early. At least 8am! For our gas pipes - they will be drilling our cement on the property. They said they will fix it afterwards, and we aren't the only homes being drilled on - everyone around is too. The workers are very close to your home!

They are usually out there by 7 am, I think it's too early but not much I can do about it.

I think that would annoy anyone! It looks like their doing a lot of work-and it is super close to your barn and van. I hope it ends soon for you.

They already have, tore up the grass behind my barn. They say they are going to fix it so I'm hoping so. I did have to go out there and ask them to quit standing on my raspberry bush.

@fishtiger58 Oh sheesh, but I suppose it's hard for them to avoid standing on your ground.

@jaboUK Yes unfortunately that's true. They did apologize and every guy on the crew was called over and shown my raspberry bush, so far they have stayed off it. I did appreciate the foreman telling them all to watch it.

@DianneN I hope so time will tell, they aren't done like they said they would be in two weeks. Two weeks is today, they are not done. They still or maybe another crew have to lay the water pipes down the alley and connect with other water pipes. Or they may be laying all new pipes on the south side of town, I just don't know what the plan is.

they were not supposed to touch our property, but they have pallets of something sitting on our back lawn they tore up. They say they are going to fix it so we'll see if they really do.

I hope there aren't any damages made to the property with all that rattling. This reminds of earthquake.

They really are close to your property. We had septic sewer lines put in on our road about 11 years ago and they had to dig up the one lane of the road to lay the pipes. I can remember sleeping and being awaken to the sound of the glass perfume bottles and nail polish bottles rattling on the glass shelves in our medicine cabinet in our en suite bathroom. The windows rattling was part of our every day life by then. Hopefully this passes quickly.

All that construction equipment certainly is close to your property. Geez that would drive me crazy too and I'm assuming it's not going to be a quick project either
