Fireworks tragedy

I just saw a news report from Kollam, India where fireworks blast in a temple has killed at least 100 people and hundreds are injured. It is always very sad to hear about people gathering to celebrate or enjoy a festival and then tragedy strikes in which hundreds lose their lives. Many of the victims have suffered from burns and many nearby houses were completely destroyed. But history tells us that people seldom learn lessons from horrific incidents and another festival might see similar displays of firecrackers and fireworks.
An explosion and blaze sparked by fireworks have killed at least 100 people at a Hindu temple in the Indian state of Kerala, police say.

That's sad and that is the reason I avoid going to temples specially on festivals. They have least safety measures.

I have read the news yesterday in an Italian newspaper, this is horrible. You are right, it seems that humans are unable to learn lessons from the past.
