What would you say to your younger self?

April 10, 2016 1:34pm CST
So I've looked at a couple of challenges and thought I'll come up with one of my own. If you could say something to your younger self, what would you say? Also mention the age. Here's mine, I'll go back to the time when I was 10 years old. I'll tell myself to stop pretending and be myself. It doesn't matter what people think. What you think is the most important thing. What about you? What would you say? I came up with this challenge. Not sure if it is already there. If yes, let me know.

do not run away at 16, endure your abusive parents for 4 years so you can finish college

I'm sorry you had to go through that. Are you in a better place now?

I don't have any regrets but I would definitely tell my younger self to value time more, try lots of new things and not be afraid of failure.

Yes. I regret the time we took for granted. Fear of failure always plays a major role, doen't it? Thanks

Ha! All of us want to do that. The things that terrified us, now mean nothing. Our innocence at that age surprises me sometimes. Thanks:)

I would tell myself (at most any age!)to try to be more aware, don't believe everything you hear, and for goodness' sake, sometimes keep your mouth shut!

I yell a lot when I'm angry and say things in the heat of the moment. I don't really mean them, but you cannot take back words. So I should try that too. Thanks.

To enjoy life more and go out more. I was a shy person back when I was young.

I remember that feeling. I used be extremely awkward in front of new people at one stage. I was always scared that I won't be enough. I was lucky to get over that phase quickly. Thanks.

Good day Vib7979. I guess I would surely say that one day it will all come together. The past and the present to help me understand more now and the possibilities of the future.

Yes. Things always seem hard at first. As time goes by, it becomes easier. Ultimately it'll all work out. Thanks.

I would ask myself to be more aware of the stuff I choose to believe and of people's intentions. I'd tell myself that I am better than I think I am and that I shouldn't stop myself due to the fear of failing.I'd also ask myself to get a bunch of better looking pants

I would go back to 16 years old me and tell myself this. "Stop being so hard on yourself. Don't worry so much about what people think about you, what they think truly doesn't matter. What matters is what you think about yourself. Stop hiding your feelings and only letting your anger out. Find a friend who will understand you and talk to them when you need someone. But most of all, Be yourself.. not what others what you to be.
