Yesterday I would have included the fear of getting banned from myLot for posting a stinky article _Is the toilet a good place for an epiphany? It didn't happen so I can heave a sigh of relief (toilet flushing) These are 8 things that I fear: 1. The fear of losing my sense of sight _The world is a beautiful place. The ugliness is man-made. 2. The fear of losing my sense of hearing _I have a grand daughter who is hearing impaired. I get teary eyed whenever I am listening to music and she can't share the joy that it brings. 3. The fear of losing my sense of taste _I love to eat. Can you even begin to imagine what that will do to a foodie? 4. The fear of losing my sense of smell _ I enjoy baking. There's nothing like the smell of fresh baked bread. 5. The fear of losing my sense of touch _To hug a newborn baby or to be kiss and feel nothing 6. The fear of losing my sense of humor _I hope I never turn into Oscar the grouch 7. The fear of losing my teeth _Dentures have vastly improve since man found other substitute replacement for real teeth. But could you imagine how history would be different if during the crossing of the Delaware, George Washington's ill-fitting dentures slip into the turbulent river? Americans would still be British subjects. You've heard the quote "For want of a nail (or dentures) the war was lost"? 8. The fear of losing my hair _ Bald will never be the new look for women. Have a nice day and be grateful for the 5 senses we take for granted. (It's hilarious asking you to be grateful for your senses with the title of the url posted below)
'I suspect however that life is most commonly and soberly contemplated from the toilet seat.' ~ Fiacre Banks Were you expecting toilet humor? Sorry, this is...

i fear earthworms. I don't get scared with snakes, but earthworms? show them to me and I will surely lose my consciousness.

@josie_ my big brother (the other nurse of the family) kidded and brought me 2 live earthworms hanging on a long stick and approached me like a "killer", and I was trembling so much that I hid under the bed but still he showed me these worms still moving. I nearly fainted. I was grade 4 that time

@CaptAlbertWhisker _My sympathy for your misfortune. Nobody should be subjected to such cruelty as having to listen to Justin Bieber.

Like you, I fear losing any of my 5 senses. My worst fear (apart from the obvious one of losing loved ones) is getting dementia, or my husband getting it.

@jaboUK _ Old people (why do we have to be politically correct?) who keep an active life (physically and mentally) seldom if at all suffer from dementia. As the saying goes, "Use it or lose it"

I sleep with lights on. I have no fear of the dark but I like to sleep seeing my entire room well-lit

@josie_ When I sleep with my love one, I turn the lights off. At least I have a companion in bed and I feel safe too.

@Yar_Joey _Light exposure at night interrupts the production of melatonin. A hormone which control our moods. This may led to depression.

I'm terrified of heights. Insects scare me. I'm scared of changing completely and losing myself. I'm scared about the things changing around me. I'm scared to think I won't be enough. Fear of failure is ever present.

@Vib7979 _Unless well secured, I also have a fear of heights. Mountain climbing is not in my bucket list. But it may be the reason for my kicking the bucket because of heart palpitation.

@josie_ I know that feeling! My terrace is fine because it is safe, but as I go higher, I cannot stop the thoughts that come into my head.

This is an excellent list--and an excellent reminder to be grateful for the senses, since they allow us to experience and enjoy the world.

It is weird that what I am scared of. I am scared of silly things. Let me put it this way, I would rather face a bear, than a snake. I am like a little girl around snakes. The other areas I am scared of but it does not stop me from doing things is stupid things like when you get off an elevator I think that I will be half way out and the elevator will drop and kill me by crushing me (so 1 step on the floor and 1 step in the elevator and the elevator drops). I know this is very unlikely, but well it crosses my mind.

@mypointsju _Not silly at all. Fear of snakes is a natural defensive reaction to danger. But not being afraid of a bear is. This is due to our misconception that all bears are like those we see in the circus and as cuddly as our childhood teddy bears. As for elevators. those thoughts also pass my mind when I am in a contemplative mood inside an elevator.
