Americans don`t have history – this is the most hasty, hollow, agriculture and insene sentence, which lot of Europeans reply, when someone say something good for this nation. So, see what, dear Europeans, americans HAVE history! It may be only 250 years, but for them these years are important. Their achievements are so impressive exactly because of their short existence as a nation. All these huge cities, full of luxory buildings, skyscrapers, amusement parks, restaurants, business centers etc. are something amazing…Think about it – some of the biggest and most important discoveries and inventions are made in the USA, like the bulb, computers, microwave, telephone, smartphone, tablet… The Americans are the first nation, dared to explore the cosmos, the moon, Mars and so…all that, reached for 250 years.

Native Americans won't be pleased that you let American history be only 250 years old!
Of course, the USA is a young country. If Europeans point this out, they don't offend anyone. They only show that they've learnt something in their history lessons. What has been achieved in a certain period of time is a completely different topic.

Bravo! Every country has a history and as long as we learn from history (the things we did wrong), than hopefully we will have a better world.

I wasn't aware history had anything to do with the number of years. By definition history is the study of the past, so in my mind that could include even some event that occurred only 5 minutes ago.

Americans have history before that too. Maybe that history is not taught.
