I am an English teacher and have taught English as a foreign language in Iran for more than 20 years.I am sure that I can find many English teachers here and would like to discuss about new methods of foreign language learning. If you have experience of English teaching as a second or foreign language, let me know which Methods and Technics have you used in your classes and what are the best international books for learning English conversations in your countries. I have used Headway , Interchange, Let's go ,Hey there , Top Notch and Pocket series in my classes.

I'm German. I've taught English as a foreign language at secondary grammar schools for 40 years. Now I'm retired.I can still talk about teaching but am not interested in doing it anymore. 40 years are enough! I've used very successfully a teaching program called Learnables. @marlina It's a very good method. I've met former pupils who remember it even 15 years later! :-) I used it also to teach Italian.

Good luck . I am not retired yet and I will be in the next 5 years cause teachers are retired after 30 years of teaching in Iran.I will check the link and will be grateful if you share your teaching experience with me. You had good patience with teaching after 40 years.I am tired of teaching after 25 years.
