It's Monday Morning and Still Cold Outside

I’m up early for some reason this morning. It’s not even 8 AM yet. It’s overcast and the house is chilly. I had my pellet stove on all night last night, because it was around 40 degrees outside, when I went to bed.
This cold weather just keeps hanging on. My little seedlings are growing on my kitchen window sill, but it’s still too cold to put them outside.
I don’t mind cool weather, because I know when summer actually arrives it will be TOO HOT for me. We had some really hot days last summer, where I did not leave the house.
So, I won’t really complain about the weather. It just seems a little strange to have these cold temperatures in the middle of April. And lots of snow in some of the Northern states, which I’m sure they are really getting tired of having.
The wind has calmed down, at least, and I do see some blue sky. I need to run some errands today, but, I’ll wait until it warms up a bit.

Aha.. It is total opposite in our place.. Getting hotter everyday.. This morning i think we got 36 deg cel.. The whole country consumes huge electricity to keep aircondition running.. Higher than last year's peak.. I guess this is the effect of climate change...

It's not supposed to be this cold here at this time of the year, but Spring weather has not arrived yet. The jet stream keeps pushing cold air down into the South. Hopefully, it will warm up soon, but I don't like really HOT weather either.
I'm sure that it does have something to do with climate change. Did you know that the jet stream is mentioned in the Bible? Ecclesiastes 1:6

@IreneVincent . Not really.. But I do beleive that it is something reminding us that we are not taking care of our environment. Here in Phils, it is summer time but it is much hotter than before. An average family here can not afford to pay that much for aircondition and elect bills so most of us are uncomfortable these days.. Really bad...

@kspanuga We had the heat on again last night and this morning there was ice all over the windshield of my car. For the middle of April, that's VERY unusual.

My week has been a little crazy, but tomorrow is Friday and hopefully my week end will be better. My daughter and I and a couple gal pals are going to the Southern Women's Show. It's a big event here in Virginia. A vendor event with hundreds of vendors who cater to women.
