Today youth are motivate toward smoking. Whe. You ask them why u smoke , they say just i m releasing tension.
I wanna ask youth , is this the last option to release tension. Well it is now fashion and youth are enjoying. Girls are competiting with boys.

Yes true. Smoking should be banned in all public places. If one wants to smoke, he can shut himself in a room and smoke.

I think the youth tend to start smoking mainly due to peer pressure, too much time in their hands, lack of guidance from parents,to imitate their peers and get out tension as you said. Its not right but due to poor upbringing and ignorance to the fact that smoking is unhealthy it happens.

It is a way for them to rebel, because they know that no one wants them to and because they know it is bad for them. Many young people do not believe that it will be an addiction or that it may hurt they health. Also do not realize how UGLY it looks.

Well i'm no longer in my youth, but back then I learned smoking but my reason wasn't to release tension or relieve my stress. it was more of a peer pressure. But it didn't last long though. I was smart enough to quit before it consumed my life.

I agree stopping the youth from smoking is important and the reasons for smoking are stupid. With that said, I am smoker for 30 years now. The problem that I have as an adult with smoking is being tagged as "he is a smoker". First, let me say I am considerate and do not smoke around others. I do not smoke in my car, even though I have a long distances to work (especially if it is snowing). I do not smoke in the house or at any places that allow smoking.
Do I know the risks of smoking, yes I do. Does that make me a bad person? Maybe? Will I more than likely die before my wife? Yes, so I guess that makes me a bad person.
To me a big portion is about habit. About 10 years ago I got a new car and my wife put up a challenge to not smoke in the vehicle for 30 days. 30 days and 10 years later I am still not smoking in my car
