Why Can't People Be More Like Dogs?

I know some say dogs do not smile. Call me crazy but I think they do. If you can't tell by the face, then that wagging tail gives it away. I took this picture the other day and it makes me think about how people will often walk around with a smirk or no expression at all. Everyone has problems and life is not the proverbial "bowl of cherries" for every person on every day. It seems though it would not hurt just to flash a smile or a nod to the random humans you run across each day. It makes my day when someone holds open the door or even just smiles. I always make sure to thank them or acknowledge their existence. Seems like a really small thing...but if you ask me...dogs have it right. By the way, this is not even my dog. It is the neighbors dog who comes over to sit, visit and yes...flash a smile!
