I hate it when I am so forgetful

I went to the store this morning, and when I got back home, and put everything away, I decided to do my laundry. I have left the clothes in the washer and forgot to put the clothes in the dryer.ni can't believe I did that, and it has happened before. It sure is rough getting old, and I hate that too. I wish I could turn back the clock, but since I can't, I will have to live with it. I left the clothes in the washer since a little afternoon, and it is almost 6;30 pm. I don't know what made me think about it, but I am glad I did, or they might have stayed there all night. I would probably have had to wash them again, and I have other things that need to get washed. I hope that all of you aren't that forgetful, as you would be very lucky.

There have been many times when I've forgotten to put the clothes in the dryer & have had to rewash them. Getting old is for the birds

You are so right. It seems the older I get, the more forgetful I become. I keep telling myself I won't forget, but I do forget anyway.

I did finaly get the laundry done, and folded up, but I have to put them away yet, and I will do that later. I have done that before where I would forget to take them out of the dryer, but this time it was the washer

@birjudanak I am just glad I didn't have to wash them again, as that would be a waste of wate, and I am paying enough as it is, without having to pay more.

I haven't got a drier so that wouldn't happen to me. I lost my car keys the other day and eventually found them in the freezer!

Now that is a good place for the keys. I bet you never thought to look fo them there. It is funny when we put things in odd places, and then wonder where we did put them.

@jaboUK If you hadn't, then who knows how long it would have been before you found them. I guess it is a good thing that you did find them when you did.

I have made things on the stove too, and would forget that they were ready to eat, and I would forget to eat them. That is getting pretty bad when I can't remember that I made something on the stove and then forget to eat it. One time I made hamburger helper, and I wondered why it didn't have the hamburger in it, and vcome to find out, I had forgot to put it in.

@DianneN Yea, tell me about it. It seems the older I get, I forget things faster. I don't like getting older, as that has a lot to do with it too. I will just do my best not to forget what I am doing.

Boy, so do I. I wonder afterwards how I could have forgot the thing I was doing, or what I was looking for in the first place.

I have started the washer with detergent and forgotten to go back and put the clothes in. I've done that many times. I become distracted so easily.

@MsTickle It certainly is, when you have to redo it. I need to fold mine up yet and put it away, but atl east it is all washed and dried. I just wish I had remembered that I did the washing in the first place, as i could have got it done sooner. Oh well, I think that my mind was somewhere else instead of what it should have been on.

I also hate being forgetful. I am usually scolded by my mother when she asked me to do something but I failed to do so. Last time she asked me to tell my sister to fix the television while I was busy doing something. Although I heard her clearly I failed to tell my sister the correct instructions. Instead of fixing the TV, I told her to fix the Refrigerator.

@rosekiss Yes, it is true. Although I had to endure my seemingly endless sermons from my mom. Sometimes I make her laugh with me being clumsy or careless and sometimes I make her upset.

@annierose I can be clumsy too, as if there is something on the floor, then I end up falling over myself, and I sometimes I get.hurt. I do have to be careful when I walk, so it doesn't keep happening.

Maybe you should drink fish oil supplement to sharpen your memory . I think it's that amongst my vitamin supplements that helps me not to be so forgetful . I become forgetful when i am hurrying though . I guess that's natural .

It just bothers me when I know I should do something, but in the end, I forget to do it. That has happened more than once, and it sucks. I don't want it to get so bad that I forget more things. I am glad though that I don't forget everyday. I did finally get the laundry done though. I just have to fold them up, and put them away.

I have done that before too, and it so frustrating too. It takes me a litle bit to try to remember why I went in there in the first place. I am glad to know though, that others are forgetful too.

Oh dear, you are not the only one. I always forget the faucet. Just now my husband called my attention that I forgot the faucet in the bathroom and the water is already overflowing. This is the disadvantage of multi-tasking, I want to do so many things at the time and this results to wastage like this sometimes.

I have done that as well, and water got on my laminate floor, and it was a good thing I wasn't asleep yet, or it would have certainly been a disaster. Getting old is a pain, but it happens to all of us.

Well, the other night, I put some leftovers on the stove and proceeded to lie down for "just a minute." When I woke up the next morning, my fine cuisine was a crusty mess. Fortunately I had the stove on "low." Does that count?

Yea, it counts. You mut have really been tired, that you didn't wake up until the next morning. It is fortunae you had the stove on low, as that would have been a disaster.
