I'm going to New York!

Canada

Next week I'm going on a trip to New York with my friends. I'm so excited! I already went to New York twice and I loved it. The malls are huge and the city is really busy and since my city isn't busy, I think it is awesome. The statue of Liberty is also something not to miss. Did you guys already went to New York?

I've been to NYC quite a few times and I really enjoy going there. I love live theater, so that's the town for me. Lots of plays, great food, great shopping and so many beautiful sights to see. I know you're going to have a great time! :)

@arianebergeron Do you know about TKTS? It's a place where they often have a few tickets left over from sold out shows. And they're usually cheaper than the regular tickets. That's the only place I ever buy tickets when I go into the city.

@CRK109 No I have never heard of it. I'm going to look there the next time I want to see a play :)

I wanted to watch one play when I went there, but there were no more tickets. It's one of the best place to see a play and I was really sad. I hope so thank you :)

No, no intention to. There are a lot of large malls in Asia, and the cities here are very crowded too. I have no wish to visit another city.

@arianebergeron Alaska is in my list. I will make it there one day. I will wait for a year with very cold winter, and the ice glacier will be spectacular.

Yeah I can understand that. What place would you like to visit?

@scheng1 Well that's an unusual destination! It will surely be beautiful but be prepared for the cold wheater. In Canada it gets pretty cold in the winter, but it's nothing compared to Alaska!

@arianebergeron I liked it but it was much too expensive for my taste or liking. I am definitely a Southern girl now, I like the nice people and slower pace now. =)

Unfortunately, I have never been to the city of New York, just somewhere in that state.

Sounds strange, but I've never been to New York City. I have no desire to visit that city. I'm a country girl at heart.

Well do you travel a lot? It is usually a very popular place but I understand why people wouldn't like the city, because it is a loud one.

@arianebergeron I have travelled a fair amount. Hopefully in the next few years when my husband retires we will be able to do a little more travelling than we do. Ow. For the moment I am 'trapped' at home as caregiver of my elderly father. And I guess technically I have been to NYC. last February my flights were rerouted because of a winter storm and my daughter and I got to spend the night on the floor at JFK airport.

@Morleyhunt It's easier to travel when you have no tight schedule. Aww that's so sad what disease does he have? ahah I don't think you liked your first time in New York ;)

Yes it is true that the streets are crowded, but it's part of the charm. Hmm I don't know I just know that there are many different ethnic groups in New York.
