Every Time I join A Post Even a Bit Political I get it in the neck.

Why cannot people here realize we all have different opinions as t o who is or are the best candidates for President. To tell me Im all wrong is not right as we are told to respect one others opinions. That is not respecting an opinion of mine to hint that mychoice is not right or wise. I do not likeTrump and his being a millionare does not in myown opinion make him my candidate. I respected the other persons choice and did not tell her it was an nwise one as its her opinion and I respect her. So from now on I will not talk politics at all and avoid any post that touches on that subject as I do no want to b e told my choices are wrong.

WE don't talk politics at home because my husband has a different choice and he is trying to force me to choose his president but i don't. I'm not convincing him to choose mine as i respect his decisions. But i hate it when people try to change my own opinion. I am respecting theirs and i never discredit their candidate so please don't discredit mine coz that won't change my mind.

@Hatley better to avoid her altogether. Today i read that thinking about the people that makes us angry is a waste of time. Those kind of people are narrow-minded.

The problem with politics is the play of emotions and opinions that boils over. Everyone wants an outcome. They might back a certain president because they are solely focused on that one positive they want really badly. However, if the person in charge becomes a jerk and does only bad things they will still be under the impression that they are wonderful because they met that one thing they wanted. In order to get past it I back the candidates that try to help the most people as possible. You might not like Trump, but just for an example he did say that he's known for working with both democrats and republicans on issues, and is willing to do that into the future. So far that's at least one person joining the parties. However, there are things I don't agree with Trump, and many I do. We're never going to find someone that we all agree with. However, I would love to see people choose someone that works for everyone involved.

@Hatley After all, if a 'side' wins, it may take many years, but the other party will try to undo that victory. There's no progress like that.

@Hatley I think there are some 400 parties here in the States. But you only ever hear about 3 of them. The rest are not acknowledged by the media.

I don't talk politics or religion for just this reason. Sure people get passionate about their beliefs but they don't have to be rude and nasty.

This is why I'm avoiding the "Who did you vote for" questions. I feel like that's nobodies business first of all and secondly too many people want to start world war three about it.

Hi Patsie! It is good to talk about politics. Never mind what others will say. I am from the Philippines and somehow I follow up the issues in US politics because our countries have been allies since the last two world wars. Hope you will have a good government after your election on November 8, 2016.

Well no one should point out that you are wrong on your choice especially in this matter. You are your own person and you have every right as to who to vote. And so is everyone around. People should understand that and should respect that. And if there will be a diffirence in opiniom then both should agree to disagree and not cut someones neck. Though in reality some individuals cant really understand and accept that.

I tend to avoid most political posts. Also most post arguing any religious posts. Too many people seem to close their minds or go off on comments.

I'm with you. I have been avoiding any political or controversial subject posts because I have been met with some harsh retorts by those who do not want to hear any opposing viewpoints.
