So it is with a big thank you to @Inlemay that I write this post. In response to a post I wrote about "Someone Stole My Title" I got a wonderful response.
I love the phrase "great minds think alike" but I had never heard the alternative of "fools never differ". Over the years and my travels, I have heard interesting phrases in different locales. I think people call them "regionalisms".
I also like "idioms" where a phrase has an independent meaning from the literal words use. Like "raining cats and dogs"...etc. They often have an interesting history.
I think language is fascinating and is one of the greatest of man made things. Do you have any phrases or sayings that you particularly like?
[PS...Thanks @Inlemay...I sort of stole your phrase for a title!]

It was brilliant and you made my day. Hope this/your post idea brings out some interesting responses. It is such a gift to be able to learn from the collective wisdom of so many...from so many places. I also thank the "no response" tab for showing me some new writers. Sometimes I am such a "master of the obvious" that I amaze myself.

@desertdawg glad to oblige. I have taken a word from my own response and am about to write a new post soon. Have a wonderful evening and keep checking the 'no response' posts, sometimes good stuff gets lost in the battle to the top!
