Sacramento Kings general manager Vlade Divac on Thursday has fired his basketball coach George Karl after the Kings failed to make it to the playoffs with a record of 33 wins and 49 losses in the 2015-16 National Basketball Association season. The Kings have not made it to the playoffs for the last ten seasons. Karl did not get along with his center DeMarcus Cousins which was one reason he was terminated on Thursday along with his failure to get the Kings into the playoffs this year, Divac will have the task of searching for a former basketball coach to succeed Karl as the next head coach of the basketball team that will be leaving the Arco Arena to the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento before the start of the 2016-17 basketball season according to ESPN.com reporter Marc Stein. The Kings finished in third place in the Pacific Division with a record of 33 wins and 49 losses which placed them in tenth place in the Western Conference eight games behind the Houston Rockets who ended the current basketball with a record of 41 wins and 41 losses.

When did Vlade become a GM? I liked him when he was with the Lakers, but I guess I never looked at him that way. I like George Karl. Hope everything turns out ok.

This has been long coming so no surprise at all. One wonders why they hired Karl in the first place. But there's a bigger issue. It's not Karl. What is wrong is the team itself and ownership and management because that's how many coaches fired now?
