Listing items on eBay

So I'm doing some spring cleaning and I'm starting with my closet and dresser drawers. I figure instead of giving the clothes to goodwill so they can turn around and make a profit from it, why not make a profit from my own stuff and then I can turn around and buy new stuff if I want to (does that make me a bad person?). So I need some help from people that have done it before. I want to list some of these items on eBay but I am not really sure how to go about it. I have already taken some high resolution pictures of the items; so what's next? How should I make my listing seem more appealing to buyers?
