I work at a place that is pretty lax with dress codes. We can wear jeans, hoodies, sneakers whatever. As long as its appropriate. As the temperature here in Minnesota hit over 70 yesterday I was debating on pulling out the flip flops. Theres no rule against it at my job. I have seen a couple people wearing them. I just dont know how appropriate it is to wear flip flops. What do you think? whats your policy at work for sandals or flip flops?

Personally, I would never wear flip flops at work.

I like to wear flip flops at home but couldn't wear them as a nurse!

As long as you donĀ“t work in a restaurant, you might be allowed to wear, either flip flops or sandals. I worked once in a restaurant where wearing sandals was not allowed. I never asked why but I had to put on some shoes.

For me it's a no-no. I worked in a company where the IT manager wore flip flops all year round. Her feet stank and you could hear her coming a long time before she arrived because they were SO noisy.

Flip flops were definitely not allowed and sandals with closed toe only. No opened toe shoes.

we do have dress code but we get to have theme costumes once a week and sometimes stick to costumes that involves flipflops.

I used to work in an office that is not strict in terms of dress to wear. They only require that we wear something with collar, because half of our body will be seen since we are online teachers. So w can wear shorts, even pajamas LoL and of course flip flops.

Our workplace has a very strict no open toe shoe policy. It is a concern that an employee could injure part of their feet if not covered by chair castors. We can wear slip ons, without a back. I never wear flip flops to work even in other places where they were allowed.

I will go for sandals because flip flops are too casual for work but are comfortable.
