I know I wrote about this a few months ago, but sometimes I forget my own advice, and wind up with ads that either pop up when you mouse over them or start playing audio, drowning out what I might be listening to as I comment away on MyLot posts.
It hasn't happened to me for awhile, but I read a post yesterday (if you wrote that post, let me know so I can link your name in my post) about how to eliminate offensive or invasive ads. The comments I read didn't have a solution, though I didn't read all of the comments.
What I do is simply visit eBay and Amazon and click on listings of things I might like to buy but can't afford right now. For me, that would be guitars, mandolins, and fancy woofers and tweeters for building custom home loudspeakers.
What happens is that within a few hours, my margins on MyLot are filled with ads for guitars, mandolins, and speakers components--things that make me smile. None of those ads are of the offensive pop-up type, and it makes my overall MyLot experience more pleasant while still (I assume) generating ad revenues for MyLot.
The insulting "We Recommend" click bait ads never go away. But most of the others do. Have you found other solutions? I don't want to turn down my volume, because I sometimes like to listen to music while I MyLot away.

That's a great idea! I do turn off the volume on my computer, except when I actually want to listen to something.
