Having had no luck lately trying to post a discussion I’ll not hold my breath that this will go through but I just gotta try.
I recall something about being allowed to post not only a photo but also a link in the same discussion so I’m goin to use my avatar change as a header for this. Yeah, that's Ally, she's lookin for da wabbit that's been teasin her.
Ok, here’s the question, does anyone actually understand the 16th amendment? I tried to read it to see if it made any sense and I keep drawing the same conclusion, it’s given congress the go ahead to increase their salaries …. Could it be I misunderstood it?

I'm not sure what the 16th Amendment is all about, what I do know is that Congress and the like can vote themselves a raise. How do you suppose they make such a tidy sum. Sickening.

'n that's why its written's it is. so's they can 'n most folks give'p with the lingo to find a loophole. politicians always've gotten it to where's they can prosper 'n then claim that those who should be entitled to raises (social security folks)...well, it jest aint'n the budget. i think we need to go back to minimal government, cut those elected officials (all'f 'em, not jest congress) by a minimum'f 15% 'n cut their benefits by half.

Yeah, oooooppppps @crazyhorseladycx I done it again, lost sight of the point of the discussion. I think if we were to start payin closer tention to Amendment 16 and fixin it so those good ole boys can't give themselves raises it might just solve the whole notion of gettin rich by bein a politician

@rebelann lol, bless yer heart 'n hugs! it'd jest be nice to've 'em all be honest 'n upstandin' citizens 'nstead'f those who're so deep'n the pockets'f special interest groups. but, they should be privy to the same treatment the rest'f us folks get 'n learn to live within their means.

I'm not sure really, I'm wondering if maybe the web traffic has anything to do with these problems I have, sometimes I have to resubmit the post several times for it to finally post.

Glad you got this post to go through! I love when my dogs are teased by the rabbits. I just don't like the worms they get if they get one.

I don't know. I have never read it, and honestly, have no interest in reading it. Ally is a cutie-patootie though.
