Breakups affect males more than females

So everyone is different, some may disagree, from my personal experience all of my guy friends that have had a serious relationahip-meaning long terms, the women get on their feet a whole lot faster. Now, for my friends they long more. I have also read some articles around the net stating that men get more psychologically affected than women. What are your thoughts or personal experiences regarding this subject?
