Disabled Adobe flash player, computer working better
I use Google Chrome and have done for many years, however over the last few week's Adobe Flash Player crashed and crashed, so annoying.
Anyway, I decided I would Google it and see if I could see why. No, Chrome is up to date and should be working ok. Then I came across a few people saying to disable Flash Player in Chrome. So I decided I would give that ago, and what you know, Chrome seems to be running faster, websites are loading much faster, amazing.
The only downside to disabling Flash Player, YouTube videos don’t play.
Have you or are you having problems with Adobe Flash Player in Chrome?

It's only been in this last week, with it crashing. I think it was last Sunday I had a Windows 10 update and since then it's kept crashing. Not sure why.

@kevin1877uk I see, you updated to Windows 10, now I understand the reason of the crashing. I have installed a program to prevent the automatic update to Windows 10.

Flash is outdated now and from what I've heard it's slowly being discontinued. I've only had a few tube video not working now, so looks like TubeYou is making the switch. On SB only the videos don't work, nCrave works well. I guess it's hit and miss.

@gudheart Open a new tab and put this in
chrome://plugins
There you see Flashplayer, you can disable and enable it whenever you want to.

Yes, Flash is up to date and Chrome is too. Last Sunday I a had windows 10 update and it's not been the same since. Disabling Flash in Chrome seems to have helped.

@Jessicalynnt All I have to do is re-enable flash and youtube video play, but yes good idea with the smartphone. Yes, maybe it's the update in Windows 10 and not flash/chrome needs to catch up with windows update.

Flash player is an issue for me even on Firefox. I read somewhere that there is a flaw that needs to be "fixed" somehow. I keep meaning to search some more. I could be wrong, though.

Didn't know you were a geek!
I'm not using chrome as my main browser. I'm using safari and I haven't encountered that at all. I use chrome only to book tickets fro clients on my travel agency website.
It's good that your computer is working now, but what about youtube? I can't live without youtube!

From the comments, I'm not the only one who's having a problem with it. It started around last Sunday after a windows 10 update.

@kevin1877uk I have heard comments from other people online with flash player. There are times when Flash player does not function properly.
I just checked that users should download the latest version of flash player at adobe.com.
Maybe you have an older version.

When I used my desktop before, chrome was fine with its Adobe. Now, I'm using Safari in my iPad mini and it loads fast.
