Creepy Happenings at Bedtime

I have seen a few things online about creepy things that could explain some common events that happen around bedtime.
First up is that falling feeling you get when you are on the edge of sleep. There are 2 things that I've read explaining this. The not creepy explanation is that your heart has slowed its beating too quickly and your brain sends signals to give you that scare to wake you up because it thinks you are dying. The creepier explanation is related to dying in your sleep. It is that sometimes angels drop your soul by accident before they are able to take into heaven.
The second event is when you wake up out of no where in the middle of the night for no reason. The creepy explanation is that it could be because someone or something is staring at you as you sleep! I don't like to think about this one as I often wake up in the middle of the night and so does my son recently.
The third one which is also quite creepy is related to our dreams. All of the faces we ever see in our lives our saved in our subconscious so every face you see in your dreams is someone you have seen in real life. I suppose the same goes for any monsters and demons that you dream of...
I don't know if you consider these scary or creepy but I sure do.
Do you know any others that I may have missed?

These are pretty creepy. I've read the falling feeling can be explained by the fact that the body is essentially "paralyzed" when we sleep. Sometimes the mind regains consciousness before the body does, so we feel a jolt or falling sensation when the body wakes. I don't know if that's true, but it seems logical.

I don't really find any of these things creepy but I do find it interesting that the falling feeling when your on the edge of sleep is due to your heart slowing down to fast and your brain sending signals to wake you up. I wonder if people with sleep apnea get that feeling a lot.

I've heard that the falling thing is because "we" (ancestors) used to live in trees & if you were about to fall out of the tree you would wake up quickly so you can grab on
As for waking up in the middle of the night, it's happened to me loads recently.. and it does feel as if someone is in the room with me
+ I have always wondered how I've made up these faces in my dreams and if there are people out there who actually look like that
This is all very interesting!
