I found a way around my internet speed problem!

Last week, I thought I had an internet speed problem. Called Verizon and they checked everything they could in order to help me. But they never found a problem. And soon thereafter I realized the problem only happened on this site. I'd be typing up a new discussion and my screen would freeze up constantly. Not fun. Tonight, I decided it was time to check other browsers. So, I tried Firefox and I found that, for me at least, everything is perfect again! No freezing! No slow downs! The speed is here and I can work as fast as I want! I am happy again! I know that many of you are having similar problems and I hope you can find a browser that works for you, too! It makes life so much better! -Claudia-

I use Firefox and it is pretty good. At one time I tried to switch to Chrome, but the problem I was switching for got worse. Back to Firefox for me.

Yes, Chrome is where I was having the problems. I find that there are certain websites where I just can't use Chrome anymore. I don't know why they can't make one browser that we can use everywhere with no problems. So glad we don't have to pay for them! :)

@CRK109 I absolutely agree. Browser "shopping" is no fun at all...Chrome for being so big does have problems with many sites. Maybe they should get a clue from all these discussions.

Fortunately you manage to find a way out. It is perfectly annoying to have slow loading problem, and the worst is to lose everything you have just typed.

I have no problems if I use Chrome, but I have plenty of problems if I try to use Firefox. I think it depends by the operating system you use and the browser app you have installed.

@ladylaura89 Exactly, Firefox is extremely slow and IE does not work at all.

@ladylaura89 IE was one of the first browser around, but now many sites do not work with it.

It is maddening when I am trying to type and it stalls and does not let me do anything. I do this on Edge but I have problems on other browsers as well. FireFox keeps giving notices that there is a script running and gives alternatives that do not work. The only thing I can do is shut down and start over. I stopped writing on myLot last night because of the constant freeze on Edge. I have heard that the Internet around the world is better, much faster, and cheaper than the internet in the United States.

We have a lot more bureaucracy here in the states than anywhere else. Doncha love it? I hate that you don't have a decent browser to work here. I'm shocked that I do, in fact. Hopefully, things will change for you over time. Keep checking!

@ladylaura89 True. There are indeed sites that efficiently run on specific browsers and I guess it's the site owners that puts this on their settings. It's therefore good that when a site is slow or does not run well on a certain, we try it on another.

I have used Firefox for many years (although these days I use the Waterfox variant which is faster for Windows 10) and have found it superior to all others.

I will have to try that. Thank you. I had a similar issue with my website on Wix....Chrome would not let me edit or do anything. I installed Firefox and same thing...problem solved. I did recently delete Firefox because I thought having it and Chrome was causing problems.

All I use is Firefox anymore, the last few times in general I've used Chrome all I've had were weird bugs and issues.
