Another way to make money online if you are interested

I know that many of you are always on the lookout for new sites and new ways to make money online. I was skimming through Facebook earlier and saw that someone I've known for years has joined a site called FOAP. It is a site where you download their app to your cell phone, then upload your photos - and you are then on your way to making some extra money. Anyone interested in using your photo can license it and pay FOAP $10. You get half of that, yes, you get $5 per photo. According to their site the more photos you upload the better your chances for making money. I checked out the site in a general way since I'm not going to use it. I am providing this information to you for your use. If you are interested you check out the site and see what you think. The person who I know that is using it wouldn't be doing so unless she was making money and it is a legit site. I am not a member I am providing the link for your information only. I get nothing out of this.

I'm not sure I like the sound of that, but if it works for some, that's their choice,

I know it works for this particular person - she is into making money any way she can.

I cannot believe that many people would be prepared to pay for a photograph, especially considering the amount of free material available.

@AbbyGreenhill I know that I would not pay it, as I suspect you probably would not either.

@Asylum Actually there is a decent market for quality stock photos - even the newspapers use them. But I'm not sure whether what's available at that site is good enough for newspapers. Maybe if it's newsworthy, quality isn't as important so I guess some people may be able to provide the kind of photos that will sell well.

I don't have a clue - just passing it on.

I won't be using it, but it is an interesting way to make money. Unfortunately, I doubt if you will ever be able to sell that same photograph somewhere else.

Interesting, but I will not likely use that one.

@JamesHxstatic I know this is a way to make money for people who aren't true photographers who can display their work anywhere. It kinda insults everyone though. If you need the money then go for it. It's an easy way to get cash from the sounds of it.

@mommaj I just threw this out there in case anyone is interested.

I've heard of the site but it's unlikely I'll ever use it because I don't use the camera in my phone, and I don't have internet enabled on my phone either.

@AbbyGreenhill I can identify with that. I only carry my phone for emergencies and make very few calls. And when I get home I always switch it off.

I can barely use my phone for a phone, let along up and download stuff!

With so many free images online or very cheap images i think it will be hard to make money,to me it will take months to get any interest unless someone had a photo of atlantic seabed. Not being negative here, just realistic

Thanks for posting this, I might look into it more. I love taking pictures. I am not sure if I will make any money at it but it doesn't hurt to try, right?

I've got quite a lot of interesting photos so a friend (who's a member here too) urged me to join that site so I made some research and, unfortunately, found negative reviews/comments for that site. I've been wanting too to find some site where I could make some money for my photos.

@pgntwo The person who 'sells' the photos promotes them. That's how I found that site.

@AbbyGreenhill Something about relying on a 3rd party to promote your product to a buyer, for such a large fee... The hairs on the back of my neck ...

@AbbyGreenhill I have heard of this before. Some people make good money. But the ones that sell the most have pictures of people in them. No thanks.

Interesting. I'm not a good photographer and I don't have a working cell phone at the moment, so it wouldn't work for me.

I'm not a photo person so it isn't for me. Another member found this and I think many people who write seriously may find this interesting. I'm not a writer and haven't tried any of the sites on this link so it is for informative purposes only...I'm not recommending it in any way

@Mike197602 I guess it depends on who really are writers. We know this isn't a writing site. But anyone who has been paid 'real money' needs sites that do pay more than pennies. I'll glance thru it later and see what's on there.

There are 79 sites on that link and the site links within the article go straight to where you need to be. I looked at a lot of links within the article and the ones I saw seemed good and they are serious places that pay over $100 in most cases and some pay up to $1000+ for an article.

would be good to hear from the writers as if they feel the link is rubbish I'll stop posting it.
