Is there a line between informing about an opportunity, and recruiting/spamming, as far as Mylot is concerned?

Serious question here people. I can very much understand that no one wants to be bombarded with offers and spammed on ways you can be rich ad nauseum. Whether a person is actually in business, or promoting a scam, no one wants to hear it constantly. I really get that. At the same time though, I along with a large number of other members here were inspired to join this forum, either in whole or in part, because we are interested in earning money online. I actually would very much like to network with members here, both new and old, who share these interests as well. This inspires the question: Is there a line between a discussion truly informing about an opportunity, and simply posting information to recruit members? I would think that being able to have open discussion about an opportunity; not only with facts but several experiences of members, would create great conversation and reference information for many, and it doesn't have to be about one person getting referrals. I also see this being a good test for people who are recruiting, to see if they are worth joining under. You would think a great sponsor would also be someone who responded and kept up with a thread about said opportunity here. The thread itself would also be full of information instead of hype. You would be able to see firsthand if this is a person you would want to join under. But am I wrong? Is every person who speaks about a money making opportunity on MyLot only looking to get referrals? Is it impossible for someone to want to share an opportunity in hopes of helping others?

I think you can tell people what you do. If they are interested, they can p.m. you. If you have a site that has worked for you, you may say so. If a certain site has scammed you you can say that as well. If you have anything more to question the admin is very good about responding to a question like this.

Well, this wasn't so much a question of "can I" as it was would I get attention? Someone posted a little while ago speaking against people who are stating that they are educating about an opportunity, saying that its just a veiled attempt at getting referrals. I was wondering if everyone at MyLot really felt that way, or if anyone felt that they may be able to get good information from those kinds of posts, if they are done correctly.

I think your idea would be good if everyone had the same high ideals. I'm afraid, though that the line between recruiting and informing is very thin and has been abused so much in the past that that is why so many shy away from that kind of post. Personally I would like to learn of some legitimate ways to make money online since my health has almost completely made be bed bound. The world knows you can't live decently on the government dole.
