I'm not sure if the blush on this white tulip shows. I planted it last year. I didn't expect it to grow and bloom. I do not remember the tulip on the package looking quite so pert.
So much has happened since that moment when I dug out weeds and buried the tulip bulb. I've been tested to the core. This little blush and white flower reminds me that time has a habit of moving on, whatever decisions are made. I took photos of it as a way of keeping it close to me even after its short beauty has fallen away.

That is a gorgeous tulip and I think I might just have that made into a canvas so I could look at it all year!!

@BelleStarr I wonder if photo bucket can dream up a wall for me? My walls are covered with paintings from my artistic daughter.

This is a lovely bloom. Taking pictures is a good idea for we never know where our steps may go.

@GardenGerty I've killed tulips before so any that came up and actually bloomed have been sweet to look at.

That is a lovely flower. Why is beauty so fleeting?

@JohnRoberts Why is beauty so fleeting? That question was asked first in Eden and here you are asking it again.

@JohnRoberts I know. And a good metaphor and a good question. Tap roots and spreader roots. Those obnoxious weeds are quite clever.

@sallypup It's just a flower blooms for just so long and an ugly weed never goes away. Metaphor.
