sorry i am not trying to be vain or presumptuous that someone may be as disrespectful to "hit on me" . I'm actually not trying to be either of those things, it's just i have very high anxiety as well as obsessive thought pattern disorder so i tend to overthink things and i thought as i was reading and sharing what i wrote the other night on here to my husband in order to better explain mylot that my first discussion or entry almost seemed like a dating site or something lol i am a friendly person so i tend to call people hun, dear, darling, sweetheart terms of endearment. It is in no way meant to be flirtatious. As i mentioned in this i am MARRIED. I won't go into this whole thing about vows and blah blah blah , has nothing to do with words we spoke and everything to do with the love we share. I just didn't want to unintentionally give a wrong idea and or disrespect my husband in the process. Thanks for bearing with me. i know my user name is MRS but common sense doesn't run amuck theses days especially online lol. #sorrynotsorry

The problem nowadays, in MY opinion, is that people take things a little too literal online. Because we have no way of really knowing a person's emotion(s) when reading what they wrote, some people tend to take certain words to mean more than they actually do. And some people, because they are not used to be calling nice terms, automatically assume that when someone called them "dear", "hun", "sweetie", etc... that it means you're flirting when in all actuality, it couldn't be further from the truth. Also, there are alot of people online (especially here on Mylot I've noticed), whose first language isn't english, so they don't have a full grasp of the english language the way others do, and in many cases, those words in their cultures, have a different meaning and only should be used when being flirtatious, hence why some people get the wrong idea when you're too friendly with them Sometimes, when we're accustomed to refering to people that way, its hard to stop using those terms. I use "dear", "hun" and "sweetie" all the time, the only words I won't use, especially when speaking to a stranger, is "sweetheart" or "darling", those two words, tend to lean abit more towards being too personal to use, especially when talking to a stranger on a website. I hope I'm making sense sis, cause I feel like I'm rambling lol.

Those words like "love", "dear", and "darling" are more often used in speech rather than writing. I used one the other day in jest here and wished I hadn't.

It is not uncommon to use affectionate terms among some users without meaning anything serious. Now you have made it clear just in case you were misunderstood.
