Motivation for sticking to work outs

April 18, 2016 1:34am CST
As much as I follow my work out plan more or less regularly, I sometimes run out of motivation to just go out there and get it going. The longest I've been able to stick to a workout without breaks is 15 days. I workout fairly regularly and this means around 16-18 days a month. But I wish I could do better. What's the longest you've been able to stick? How do you keep yourself motivated?

Not easy to keep myself motivated but I think about the benefits.

I've been cycling for three years now i think. But i started yoga a few weeks ago. I regularly do yoga nowadays and i think i'm gonna stick to that for a very long time.

Ohh.. That's another ball game altogether. I mean it seems more like a medical thing than a fitness thing. But it's so hard to stay motivated when there's a bare minimum sources of inspiration immediately around you. I guess we to tend to slacken off sometimes!!

@Curlybobby true that. some would do it with a friend or some would keep a record everyday to motivate themselves.

@MGjhaud My friends are just as lazy :p In The end, I feel like the most effective way is to just move it and get there..we would eventually not feel lazy anymore.. It's always a starting problem. Rarely do we ever feel lazy or demotivated in the middle of the workout..

I honestly can't remember the last time I exercised. What's the easiest you can suggest to me?

I also need to workout and I have stopped. I didn't like the time it takes. In my spare time I wanted to sleep or go out, play, be lazy... So, I think about it rationally, if I stop working out, at least keep myself being able to do what I need to do. I need to walk so I walk instead of driving near by, I do some stuff around the house, I go for a walk, I train my grip strength... I think planning the time can give some motivation, so, if I plan my time correctly, I see I don't lose time, and I achieve my goals, and I have fun. Besides, isn't it cool to see how stronger the body have become ? I watch muscular people work out at youtube at the muscle beach, I see the world strongest man competitions, it gives motivation.
