I am now jobless

If you check my profile, my last discussion posted here in MyLot was whether I should quit my job. That was posted last November 2015. I recently resigned but the problem is I don't have another company to move to. I will still have to apply but no guarantee that I will immediately get hired. Wish me luck on this! I don't mind being jobless for a few months for now because I really wanted to quit my last job. The experience was okay but I want to explore other opportunities. In the mean time, I want to be more active here in MyLot. I have a lot of catching up needed to be done.

I wish you were just near my place because if you were, I could give you a job proposal.

At least you have saved up for this period of unemployment. It is all right to explore and take on different jobs when you are young. You need to gain experience and find out what you are good at.

I have been preparing for it for quite some time. And yes, I did save up especially for my idle days.

@tecchigurl That is good. Next time when you are employed again, you have to save up too. Many companies just close down with short notice, and their employees do not always have time to save up for days of joblessness.

it would have been more prudent to find another job before resigning.

I was also told by others about that but I can't take interviews because of my work shift. And mos tof the time my vacation leaves get rejected. If I go absent then it will affect my work performance record.

Why did you decide to quit your job before having a replacement job? At least you should have started to send your curriculum.

I think I want to rest for a while. I have sent my resume to some of my preferred companies. I will rest while waiting for them to contact me.

You have been gone for a while and have a lot of catching up to do. You resigned with no other prospect, I hope you are able to find a job you will like.

Good luck in finding new work. It is advisable to get a new job first before resigning from your current one. You are way past that already. Hopefully, you get the job you aspire for with the salary and benefits you want.

You can just try to submit your resume online so you just have to wait for them to call you. Good luck!

aww I can't believe you quit. well, i hope you realize you will be competing with so few companies out there. not to mention the age can be a bit discriminating since they prefer younger and fresh graduates.
