The saddest movies

There are some movies that make me cry no matter how many times I see them. To be honest, I can cry easily. A tragic movie is not necessarily the one in which the hero dies. For example I will not call Gladiator (starring Russell Crowe) a tragic movie. Two movies that always make me cry are "Pay It Forward" and "The Mighty" Both have children or young teenagers as main protagonists. There is so much bravery in these movies in spite of pain and loss and that is what really makes me cry. I am sure there are many other sad movies worth mentioning here but I try to avoid such movies on the whole because they can really weigh down my spirits and make me weepy for days. Which is the saddest movie that you have seen? Do you enjoy watching them or do they make you depressed too?

The first movie to make me cry was Rebel Without a Cause with James Dean. He was a misunderstood teenager, and so was I and it made me cry.

One of the saddest movies I have seen are The Notebook-yes I have seen it many times and I still cry every time. Also A Walk To Remember-I cry every time I see that one too. I am a very emotional person.

My hubby thinks I'm crazy when I cry at a sad movie and say "that was a good movie", he doesn't get it. We watched "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" tonight, it was sad.
