The recent music festival we attended at Fairbridge in Western Australia was a lot of fun. Apart from about 7 or 8 venues featuring particular groups, there was also a number of 'street musicians' entertaining people round and about the place.
One very versatile performer was this 'one-man band' who drew a crowd as soon as he started playing. Hopefully you can see that he has wires attached to both feet which operated drum sticks which hit drums attached to his back.
He also sang or played clarinet and had other whistles and bells attached for added effect. Some people are just so talented it seems sinful!

@enlightenedpsych2 I took lessons until I forgot and came home with a lot of homework. End of lessons and I never got out of the beginner book. Though I have taught myself since.

@enlightenedpsych2 We all have our strengths and gifts. I can play the piano, not well, but I can play. I am most gifted with writing. Not much else.

@enlightenedpsych2 @just4him I guess 'sinful' was a bad choice. It was just a word, not meant to imply anything. Some musicians can play so many instruments so well that it seems unfair.

I enjoy street musicians. Back in the day, they were more common. In some cities, they need "permits" now. A pain in the neck. I learned about Thai food through "busking" in Santa Barbara. We'd play on the Wharf, and then go to a Thai restaurant and eat our earnings.

Our buskers need permits now and are allocated a 'space' in the street. I gather you didn't make a lot of money from busking by the time you had a meal out of your takings. Damian used to do really well busking in Galway with a friend - guitar/singer and double bass.

This is the "closest" I have ever seen this kind of musician. I remember seeing them on television when I was younger. That had to be fascinating and he must have fun to be doing his music this way.

I don't think there was one person there who wasn't really impressed. Once people got over their amazement they joined in the dancing.

Wow, he is a talented man to be able to do all those things at once, and still make music. I remember when we were kids trying to pat the top of our heads and rub circles on our stomach at the same time. It is hard to concentrate and perform two different things at one time without getting mixed up. But he has a lot of different things to co-ordinate.

He had to keep moving all the time because his feet were more or less playing instruments too.

Do you know his name as I wanted to see if he had a video on YouTube so that I could listen to him performing?

@JudyEv It is very easy to add a video. Just copy and paste the web address and it appears.

@JudyEv He was so talented, and, blind from birth he was very capable, making his own carrying boxes and able to set up and pack up back without help.
sadly he had type 1 diabetes and in the end his kidneys failed. He was a lovely man and we miss him

We have some great street musicians here in Manitou, but I've never seen anything like that.

@teamfreak16 He wouldn't take money at the festival but I guess management had allocated him a sum.

@JudyEv - He'd probably make some good money here during tourist season.
