I didn't know her personally by I am very sad to hear that Doris Roberts has passed away at the age of 90.
For nine years she loved, nagged and was often the mother-in-law from hell on the hit TV show Everybody Loves Raymond. I love her in the Hallmark Movies as Mrs.Miracle in more recent times.
Her career in show biz was a long one and she won several awards over that time. Hollywood will be a little less funny and definitely sadder with her passing. RIP Doris Roberts, you gave us a lot of entertainment and I don't think any of us can imagine anyone else making Marie Barone come to life.

@BelleStarr I do not mean now.
i meant in the past when she just started.
There bound to have many naysayers who criticized the way the young actress put up the hair or put on a dress or a tactless remarks.

@BelleStarr Even then, she was playing a matronly middle-aged lady. I never thought of Marie Barone as being anywhere near 90. Her kids are not much older than my kids, and I'm not 60 yet.
