Which one is fastest a cheetah or an ostrich?

That's not necessarily true. Ostriches are much more powerful than some people realize. Lions try to attack ostriches and often die in the process. One kick from an Ostrich is enough to shatter the skull of a lion. Cheetahs my be more agile and better able to avoid that kick, but it still takes only one kick to kill. For the record, the maximum speed of an Ostrich is 43 miles per hour, for a cheetah it is 75 miles per hour. Maximum sustained speed is 31mph for an ostrich, and 60mph for a cheetah.

POsitively the cheeta, he is the fastest but it is the fastest animal, dun really know if it can beat a non flying bird. have to check the fact again. Speed of both of the cheeta and the ostrich again...

Cheetah is the fastest animal. None others have matched its speed till date. I can run with a speed upto 120 km/hr.

Cheetah is the fastest animal on earth and quiet a beauty too it can top 100km/h (60mph) in short distances. However the ostrich is not far behind being the fastest bird on land and very elegant too. It could get to half of the cheetah speed.
