Naming a website

If you are talking about the domain name. Keep it simple and make it a shorter name and make sure the spelling is easy. If you are combining multiple words, people get confused when the first word ends with a letter and the next word begins with the same letter. Example: If your site is photo operations, than a website would be: photooperations That gets confusing.
Also, you will want to think of a logo that you will be using, how does the name tie into a logo.
I would stick with .com for a domain name, but it is up to you.
OK, that should be a few things to think about.

The purpose of the website, should be the main thought going into the naming of the website.
