If you knew you had a foot left on your yard stick would you want to travel by the inch or by the millimeter? This old planet seems to be about the oldest thing in existence. Yea, right, the universe, but hey, it's out there somewhere billions of light years from me so what do I care about the universe, right? When I get up and find I am able to still breath it is a nice thing for me to just know the sun will rise and remain for many hours, even if clouds are doing their utmost to hide the sun from me. Sunshine on the planet filtered through the clouds is still a lot to be happy for. For a fly, a day can be a year. For a Tree my lifespan can be a few hours at best. For a world such as ours, even an entire era of a species can be a brief second in cosmic time. If I had forever I would probably be keeping score. That is because even forever can seem too short. "Say what?" I don't know, It's what was on my mind so I wrote it down here.
