What life goal have you set for yourself?

As a near graduate of a 2 year college course in the UK, I decided to have a sit down and ponder on what I wanted to succeed out of life. First I would like to point out that I am 18 years of age, so I feel that I have a lot of time to achieve whatever I set. When I sat down on the day (Sunday, I believe it was), I started with the easy goals: get a job, a house, a car, etc. Then I wanted to really dig in and branch out. What job do I want? What kind of house? What kind of car? Now I have already been given the opportunity to work with a subsidiary company my dad works for. He works for the care industry and unfortunately...being an avid photographer...I can't see me working in caring. Not to mention the shifts sound absolutely diabolical to get through. So here's what I came up with: my ideal job would be journalism. Photojournalism would be even more fabulous. I would work for a small freelance independent company, going out to small events and exhibitions and writing articles. From there I'd improve and go to bigger events, such as the London film premieres. Imagine being on the red carpet...interviewing celebrities for a living. It sounds delightful. So that's the job I want. The house: I want a house away from my home town. My city is full of people you don't want to bump into at night. You'd probably lose your kidney to the black market. I want a house in a posh suburb. My wages would hopefully pay for that. I want a garden (even though I hate the chore of gardening) and a big living space. All to myself. And the car...at first a little mini. Just to get me by. As I get older, maybe an Audi or a BMW or even a Mazda car (they still exist don't they?). So that's where I want to be. I'm all planned outfor the future. Most people my age are moving to university accommodation. But I don't want to learn in more lecture halls any more. I want to experience the world. So, what life goal have you set for yourself? If you've already reached them, what were they? How did you reach them? Enough rambling. T-rah.

Goals are good to have. I don't make enough of them I think.

Generally, I set goals by the minute. It has worked best for me to set goals as they come, so I won´t have to think about them constantly. When I was little I set one; unfortunately, it was not attained. There is always something on the way, which in one way or another prevent you from reaching a goal.

I'm sixty one now so my main goal is to let God use me as a door for His love to move through to other people for the rest of my time on Earth.

You gave it much thought, didn't you? It's admirable that you are so clear about your life goals. As long as I can hold a pen, I hope intricate writings will continue to flow through. That's my perfect life goal. :)
