First, I want to apologize for lagging on getting back to you. I'm trying. Honestly!
When? I will try today, but have errands to run, and a mani/pedi appointment.
Tomorrow, we have a long day planned in New York City. We're having lunch at my husband's brother's home. My husband missed our last visit when he wound up getting Dawn dish detergent in his eye before we left for Florida.
The best part of the day, besides some shopping, will be seeing our grandchildren again. We will attend my grandson's tai kwon do belt ceremony, and then all go out for dinner together. The kids are excited, and are choosing a restaurant for us.
I will see you soon. Promise!

@DianneN You shouldn't feel bad, my parents were close, but always choose to spend more time at my brother's sons events. They came about once a year, if our son nagged at them. I know that is not true with you, you both love those children and they you both. My mother in law never ever came to one single event of his, not even his kindergarten graduation, but that was her loss not ours. His favorite memory is taking Papa (my Dad) thru the university and introducing him to some of the department heads that he had met. My Dad beamed while our son explained every detail about every building and the history of it to him. Memories.....

We will! My mother came to a few swim meets. The boys loved it. They loved it even more when my hubby coached baseball. My grandson is thrilled that we will be there for his ceremony. Our problem is that the kids are doing so many things, and are so far from us to get in more often.

It is always nice when we can spend much needed time with our families. I shop that your time in New York will be a good one, and that you enjoy the time you spend with your family. The time will really go fast, so you have to make the most of it. I will see you when you get back home again.

@DianneN I wisdh I had a family that I could spend time with like that. I do have my son who lives not to far from me, but the one I miss is my daughter who lives in House Springs, MO. Sure, we talk everyday on the phone, but I sure do wish I could see her and spen d time with her.. I just can't afford to go see her at this time. I am hoping I will get to one of these years though, as I haven't seen here in 7 years, and it has been really hard.

That looks like your genius grandson, you mean he can skate too? Did your husband have to go to the ER when he got the soap in his eye, or what did he do about or for it? I work with Dawn almost every day, but have never gotten any in my eyes before. I'm sure that burnt.

@DianneN I Use Dawn for washing windows. I know it does well cutting grease, but I didn't realize it was that caustic.

Lol! He not only skates, but skateboards, and takes tae known do. He just received his green belt.
I called our eye doctor immediately, who had him flush his eye with a solutions other than water, and apply artificial tears. That Dawn is so caustic, that is took away his natural tears. It was awful. It took one week before his eye felt normal.

I'm wondering what restaurant will the kids choose. Is this their first time to choose a restaurant for the family?
